When copying and pasting text blocks from a different source such as a HTML document into an element within your instance document, it is good practice to use the "Correct Content" feature. This feature will format the text block to reduce/prevent HTML related errors when running the Edgar Manual Validation or a test filing.
In order to properly add text blocks into your instance document, please follow these steps:
1. Copy the text block using control + C or from right mouse click + copy with the text block highlighted.
2. Within your instance document from the Instance Creator, select the text box under the context in which you want to add the text block to.
3. Right-click the text box and select Text Block > Edit Text Block.
The Edit Text Block window will appear.4. Paste the HTML sourced text block by clicking on the "Paste as HTML" button.
5. Press the "Corrent Content" button. This action will clean up a lot of the HTML formatting that may cause errors when running the Edgar Manual Validation.
Please see attached document for additional details.
