Web Service WSDL

Hi,
The 11.1 Studio guide says that for calling Web Services
"If you know the URL of the WSDL document and you would like to change it dynamically, you can define it by the UDA or the Application Variable."
I have tried this in versions 7.4, 8.1, 10.1, 11.0, and 11.1, but it does not work. In all cases, the value of the UDA is not used - instead, the initial value that is defined in the UDA is used. The dynamic value of the WSDL is never used.
Does anyone know how to make this work?Author: Luke Patrick

Hi Luke,
Yes, we were able to reproduce this while working with another customer. The initial value of the UDA becomes static in the ServiceEndPoint URL, meaning that any proceeding changes to the UDA does not propogate as the ServiceEndPoint URL. This issue has been identifed and escalated to development.

Luke,
A long-term solution is still being reviewed and a date has not been determined yet.
However, there are few workarounds that can be used in the interim.
1. Recreation of the web service node so it can be updated with the latest wsdl URL.
2. Edit the process definition once it is uploaded into the server and editing the ServiceEndPoint URL with the latest wsdl URL.
3. Export the process definition from studio and manually edit the XML file of where the ServiceEndPoint URL is of which Web Service node with the latest wsdl URL.

Thanks Marc, but sorry- none of those workarounds will help me achieve something where the WSDL will change after an instance has been created and started. (and I dont want to edit the process instance to change this - it will mean a private process definition for every instance that gets edited).
