When uploading analytics definitions from the Interstage Studio to the Interstage BPM Analytics server, you have the choice to have the analytics server automatically restart itself if it needs to restart after the upload.
While this is a cool capability, I find that the upload performance is much faster if I uncheck that box before doing the upload. This way you can make several changes as appropriate, and then restart the server one time at the end (by using the Analytics management console). While this can impact others, it is a more predictable and manageable way to handle this.
