Goal: How to Update License Key of Interstage BOP Installation
Fact: Interstage BOP (Business Operations Platform) Version 4.1 (Version 4.0 FP 1)
Fact: Cordys Management Console (CMC)
Fact: Cent OS Linux Build 2.6.18-128.el5PAE
Symptom: Fail to start Interstage BOP due to expired license key
Fix:
In order to change the license details of an Interstage BOP environment, follow instructions as outlined below.
Obtain the following details for the new license (customer, site and a key). If not, do not continue. Obtain all license details first.
License Details are as follows:
RegisteredCustomerName=
SiteName=
LicenseKey=
Note:
Make a backup of the original license details before you start. In case of problems you can always switch back to the prior version.
How to change:
Open Cordys Management Console (CMC) > go to Content Management > click on 'cn=licinfo', then:
1. click on Attribute=licensekey and replace the license key with the one mentioned above, and click Save.
2. click on Attribute=licensebase and replace the value in tag with the value in RegisteredCustomerName above and also replace the value in tag with the value in SiteName above.
Exit CMC.
Stop Cordys Monitor service and then CARS service.
Start CARS and then Cordys Monitor service.
Alternatively, just try restartcordys.sh in Cent OS platform.
Note:
values in RegisteredCustomerName and SiteName are case-sensitive.
Note:
ensure there are no trailing spaces when copying the license key.
Note:
you can start the Cordys management console by first starting the VM in graphical mode (init 5) and then start the cmc.sh tool located in Cordys bin directory.
Or even easier use mobaxterm, which allows you to start Xsessions from your own client machine without access to the server console.
Note: (Only Applicable to those who generate license key)
