  Title: How to Delete Closed Processes via SQL

  
  

  Fact: Oracle 10g

  
  

  Fact: Oracle 11g

  
  

  Fact: Interstage BPM (Business Process Manager) Version 10.1

  
  

  Fix:

  It is possible to delete closed processes from Interstage BPM database in Oracle by issuing the following SQL query:

  DELETE FROM PROCESSINSTANCE WHERE STATE='8'

  
  

  Note: The query above will delete all processes in state equals to 8 which means closed.  Once deleted, they are permanently removed from Interstage BPM database.  Thus, please use it caution.

  
  

  Note: It is recommended to delete processes via BPM console or Model API.  Use the sql as the last resort.
