  It's for collaborating and sharing information. users can create Wiki pages and share it with the team. the pages may be used for different purposes, including help pages on using application, discussion on future improvements that they might want...etc

  beware.  If you add smartpages and then perform a complete upload of a project in Studio, your smartpages will disappear.  Use Partial upload after adding smartpages.
