Goal: How to Check Whether Interstage BPM Server Version 11.2.1 Is Up and Running
Fact: Interstage BPM (Business Process Manager) Server Version 11.2.1 Build IF1121048
Fact: RedHat Linux Version 6.1
Fact: RedHat EAP (Enterprise Application Platform) JBoss Version 5
Fact: Oracle 11gR2
Fix:Starting in Interstage BPM (Business Process Manager) version 11.2.1 build IF1121048, the command-line window that executes the runIBPM.sh to start BPM server no longer shows whether BPM server starts up successfully.
Instead, the message such as this one
"Linux Interstage BPM Server Enterprise Edition Version 11.2.1 Build IF1121048 (using JBoss) is ready" is sent to {Interstage BPM Home}/server/instance/default/logs/
Trace.log
In short, after executing runIBPM.sh, monitor the system-level
Trace.log to see if BPM server is indeed up and running. If server is up and running, expect the message indicating that the server "is ready".
Note:
There is also a tenant Trace.log under the logs directory of each tenant; however, don't expect the server ready message in this Trace.log.
