Goal: How to Resolve the Model Client Login Issue Due to "Failed to
create the adapter for push notification mechanism"

Symptom: Model API WFSession.logIn() or WFAdminSession.logIn() call to BPM server throws the following exception:

Fix:
As the error message shown in the symptom states, the model connector fails to create the push notification, also known as proactive notification, is due to the "Use of this chain is not permitted by bus".

To rectify this issue, login to WebSphere Administrative Console > Expand "Service integration" > Buses > click on the bus created for "Messaging bus for IBPM" > Under Additional Properties, click on "Security" > For Permitted transports, check the radio button "Allow the use of all defined transport channel chains".

Restart BPM server instance for the changes to take effect.
