Fix:
To troubleshoot Interstage BPM server/console deployment issue, please inspect the following log files:
1. Check Deployment Tool log file from {BPM Install Home}/InterstageServer/server/deployment/tool/configuration (get the .log file with the latest timestamp.)
2. Check Deployment Tool log file called waspprocessor.log from {BPM Install Home}/InterstageServer/server/deployment/tool/plugins/
3. Check the log files SystemOut.log and SystemErr.log from your WebSphere server log directory. For my particular installation, these two logs are obtained from C:IBMWebSphereAppServerprofilesAppSrv01logsserver1, where the profile is “AppSrv01” and server name is “server1”. You should follow the same to track down these two logs.
These logs are very useful for determining:
(1) IBPM deployment tool has ever successfully contacted your targeted websphere server.
(2) In case of successful connection from IBPM deployment tool, there will be messages as to what happened.
4. Note that you should always check whether any folder and files are created under your target WebSphere server directory. In my case, it is C:IBMWebSphereAppServerprofilesAppSrv01databasescom.ibm.ws.sib. Make sure the directory related IBPM is deleted while WebSphere server is down prior to your re-deployment of IBPM server/console. This step is mentioned in the Interstage BPM installation guide.
If you cannot resolve the issue in the log files mentioned above, provide the log files to Fujitsu Interstage support for help.
