  Goal:Where to Obtain Log File for Each Tool in XWand Toolkit

   

  Fact: Interstage XWand Toolkit Version 11.0.4

   

  Fact: Interstage XWand Toolkit Version 11.0.0

   

  Fact: Interstage XWand Toolkit Version 12.0.0

   

  Fact: Interstage XWand Toolkit Version 12.0.1

   

  Fact: Windows platform

   

  Fix:

  Each tool that is launched in XWand Toolkit, there is a corresponding log file created.

   

  For troubleshooting an error message, it is helpful to locate the .log file in

  C:\Documents and Settings\{Windows login ID}\FujitsuXBRLTools\ for Windows XP, where the {Windows login ID} is the ID used to login to Windows.  Traverse further into the respective tool, then the log folder to locate the .log file.

   

   

  For example, to obtain the log file for taxonomy editor/instance creator, I would traverse to C:\Documents and Settings\cychen\FujitsuXBRLTools\TaxonomyEditor_InstanceCreator\log\ to locate the log files created by the tool.

  For Windows 7 environment logs should be in this location: C:\Users\username\AppDataLocal\Local\Temp\WordLinkage\.log
