  Goal: Java Runtime Environments Supported for XWand Toolkit Version 11 and Version 12

  
  

  Fact: Software Release Guide Interstage XWand Toolkit V12.0.1

  
  

  Fact: Software Release Guide Interstage XWand Toolkit V12.0.0

  
  

  Fact: Software Release Guide Interstage XWand Toolkit V11.0.0

  
  

  Fact: Software Release Guide Interstage XWand Toolkit V11.0.4

  
  

  Fact: JRE (Java Runtime Environment) Version 1.4.2

  
  

  Fact: JRE (Java Runtime Environment) Version 5

  
  

  Fact: JRE (Java Runtime Environment) Version 6

  
  

  Symptom: The tools in XWand Toolkit may not function properly with a non-supported version of JRE.

  
  

  Fix:

  Make sure to use the supported JRE prior to install XWand Toolkit.

  Refer to readme.txt, also known as the Software Release Guide, typically found in XWand Toolkit installation kit, for the supported JRE versions or as excerpted below:

  
  

  For XBRL 2.1 Processor, the following JRE is supported for various version of XWand Toolkit.

  
  

  XWand Toolkit Version 11.x:

      [Java environment]

      For operating XBRL 2.0 compatible processor, following is required:

      - Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment (J2RE) Standard Edition Version 1.3.1,

        1.4, or Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition Runtime Environment 

        Version 5.0.

  
  

      For operating XBRL 2.1 compatible processor, following is required:

      - Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment (J2RE) Standard Edition Version 1.4

        (1.4.2 or later), or Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition Runtime

        Environment Version 5.0, or Java(TM) Platform, Standard Edition 

        Runtime Environment Version 6.

  
  

  XWand Toolkit Version 12.x:

   [Java environment]

      For operating XBRL 2.1 compatible processor, following is required:

      - Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition Runtime Environment Version 5.0,
