  I installed the server console and interstage Server 4.5 with JBOSS locally. I'm looking for an SMTP server to verify my installation.
  I tried the Gmail server as SMTP server (smtp.gmail on port 587) without success.
  Is there an SMTP server available to test server installations?

  I used Mail Enable for Interstage BPM.

  Refer to  http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13287

  gmail smtp server requires authentication.

  
  

  Can you try the following at the DOS command line from the machine where Interstage BPM server is located:

  telnet smtp.gmail.com 587

  
  

  If connection is refused, your network is preventing you from accessing google smtp server.  You should consider using your ISP's smtp setting.

  I set up Outlook Express and it works with port 587 with  smtp.gmail.com
   the port 587 requires authentication TLS.
  
  How to configure Interstage server for TLS ?
